This is a how to on installing Zenoss 2.0 core on a new Centos 5.0 installation. This guide assumes a new Centos 5 install with the default "server" software selection, no gui, and has SElinux disabled, if it is not disabled run setenforce 0 as root before starting. If you want to install the old 1.2 version of Zenoss here is the guide

I installed the server server on my internal network, not the DMZ so SElinux being disabled is not a major concern.

Make sure you can connect to your database via ODBC.

Setup guide is using the same hardware and CentOS install we used in our prior how to on Zenoss. I use the Zenoss database on the localhost but this can easly be changed for setting up a ODBC connection on a remote host machines useing any database.

Kodiak Fuels main goal was to better serve their international Fortune 500 clients by providing multiple languages. This was accomplished via automatic machine translation of the entire website. Another feature we added was the ability to provide three major energy reports online.

This is a short how to because the basic setup of Splunk takes about 10 minutes. I am setting it up on the same server as Zenoss and will integrate both of them soon. I ultimately would like to use Splunk to connect to the Zenoss mySQL database.
